INTRODUCTIONTacrovin Ointment is used to treat eczema (atopic dermatitis). It works by suppressing the activity of certain immune cells that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) of the skin. This relieves itching and improves rashes in atopic dermatitis.

USESPrevention of organ rejection in transplant patients

BENEFITTacrovin Ointment belongs to a group of medicines known as immunosuppressants. Organ rejection happens when your immune system treats the new organ as an invader and attacks it. This medicine weakens your immune response (which usually fights infection) and reduces the chance of your body attacking the transplanted organ. It is used in combination with other medicines to make it much more likely that your transplant operation will be successful. You should continue taking the medicine and should not stop it until your doctor says so.

HOW TO USEThis medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment.

HOW TO WORKTocoderm Plus Cream is a combination of four medicines: Terbinafine, Clobetasol, Ofloxacin and Ornidazole, which treats skin infections. Terbinafine is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their protective covering. Clobetasol is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Ornidazole is also an antibiotic which kills other infectious microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging the DNA.
