BENEFITDermiford Cream is a combination of medicines used to treat skin infections caused by microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi. It kills and stops the growth of infection causing microorganisms, thereby clearing the infection and relieving the symptoms. It also blocks the release of chemicals that cause symptoms such as itching, redness and swelling. Therefore this medicine relieves the inflammation due to these infections.

HOW TO USEThis medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

HOW TO WORKDermiford Cream is a combination of five medicines: Clobetasol, Gentamicin, Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin), Ketoconazole, and Tolnaftate. Clobetasol is a steroid. It works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Gentamicin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Ketoconazole, Clioquinol, and Tolnaftate are antifungal medicines. Ketoconazole kills and stops the growth of the fungi by destroying its cell membrane, thereby treating your skin infection. Clioquinol acts by interacting with DNA synthesis thus killing the fungi that are responsible for causing the infection. Tolnaftate prevents growth of fungal cell-wall. It also prevents forming fungal colonies. This is how it causes death of fungi and relieves your infection.
